M2R helmets are covered for 5 years from the date of purchase or 7 years from the date of manufacture, whichever comes first. The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship and applies to the original purchaser only — it is not transferable. It does not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, tampering, modifications or improper maintenance. Fluorescent paint finishes are not covered for fading or degradation caused by environmental exposure. Claims can be lodged through your original M2R retailer, or by emailing M2R with proof of purchase.

Remove the interior liner before washing — it is fully detachable and can be hand-washed or machine-washed on a gentle cold cycle; allow to air-dry completely before reinserting.
Wipe the carbon shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap only; avoid petrol, solvents, acetone or abrasive cleaners, which can degrade the shell finish and underlying composite.
Inspect the D-ring retention strap before each ride for fraying, cracking or stiffness; replace if any wear is evident.
Familiarise yourself and riding companions with the emergency quick-release cheek pad tabs — these allow first responders to remove the helmet with minimal neck movement.
Store the helmet in its bag or a padded container, away from direct sunlight, extreme heat and fuel vapours; prolonged UV and chemical exposure degrades EPS foam and shell integrity.
Do not use the helmet after any significant impact, even if external damage is not visible — EPS foam absorbs energy by crushing internally and cannot be inspected without destructive testing; replace the helmet.
M2R's own service life guidance aligns with the warranty period: retire the helmet 5 years from date of purchase or 7 years from date of manufacture, whichever comes first.
