Clean the outer shell with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth; rinse with clean water and allow to air dry — never use petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or harsh chemical cleaners as these degrade the shell and liner materials.
Clean the visor with warm water and a soft, lint-free cloth; avoid abrasive materials that will scratch the surface and reduce optical clarity.
Remove the cheek pads and comfort liner before washing — most components can be hand-washed in mild detergent, then air dried flat away from direct heat and sunlight.
Do not immerse the helmet shell or EPS liner in water.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, UV exposure, and fuel vapours, which can deteriorate the EPS and shell over time; use a helmet bag if available.
After any significant impact — including a drop from riding height — retire the helmet from use and have it inspected or replaced; EPS damage is internal and not always visible externally.
