- Clean the helmet shell using a mild soap solution and a soft, damp cloth; avoid petroleum-based cleaners, solvents, or abrasive materials that can damage the shell or degrade graphic finishes.
- Clean the visor with a soft damp cloth or a purpose-made visor cleaner; never wipe a dry polycarbonate visor, as this scratches the surface and impairs vision.
- If the interior liner is removable, wash it by hand with a gentle detergent and allow it to air-dry completely before reinserting — do not tumble-dry or use direct heat.
- Store the helmet in its carry bag (if supplied) or in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes, all of which degrade shell materials over time.
- Do not hang the helmet by its chin strap for extended periods, as sustained load on the buckle or strap can distort the retention system.
- Before every ride, inspect the shell, EPS liner (where visible), visor, and retention system for cracks, deformation, or unusual wear; do not ride with a damaged helmet.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact — the EPS liner absorbs energy by deforming internally and may not be visibly damaged even when its protective capacity is compromised.
- Follow the manufacturer's recommended service life and replace the helmet accordingly, as shell resins and foam liners degrade with age regardless of visible condition.
