- Clean the outer shell with a mild soap solution and a soft, damp cloth; never use petrol-based solvents, abrasive cleaners, or spray polishes, as these can degrade the shell finish and underlying EPS foam.
- Clean the visor with warm water and a soft microfibre cloth; remove insects or road grime gently to avoid scratching the lens.
- If interior comfort liners are removable, hand-wash them in mild detergent and allow to air-dry completely before refitting — do not machine-wash or tumble-dry.
- For non-removable interior liners, wipe down with a damp cloth and mild antibacterial solution; allow to air-dry fully before storage.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes, all of which can silently degrade EPS foam and retention systems.
- Never place the helmet on a fuel tank or allow contact with petrochemicals, even briefly — fuel degrades protective foam rapidly.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible; EPS foam is a single-use energy absorber.
- As a general industry guideline, retire and replace the helmet after five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if straps, liner, or shell show visible wear or deterioration.
- Before each ride, inspect the chin strap closure for secure fastening and check that the visor is firmly seated and free of cracks or deep scratches that could impair vision.
- Do not paint, drill, or apply adhesive stickers to the shell, as these can compromise structural integrity.
