Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap solution; avoid petrol, solvents or harsh chemical cleaners that can degrade the shell and graphic finish.
Clean the visor with warm soapy water and a clean microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as this introduces fine scratches that impair visibility.
Remove inner liner and cheek pads (if removable on this model) and hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
Do not leave the helmet sitting in direct sunlight or inside a hot vehicle for extended periods — prolonged heat and UV exposure degrade foam liners and shell materials over time.
Store the helmet in a protective bag in a cool, dry area away from fuel vapours, paint fumes and solvents, all of which can weaken helmet materials.
Inspect the shell, visor, retention system and liner before every ride; if you identify any cracks, deformation or loose components, do not use the helmet until it has been assessed.
Retire the helmet immediately following any crash impact — internal damage may not be visible externally.
