  • Clean the outer shell using a mild soap solution and a soft, damp cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or harsh chemicals that can degrade shell and graphic materials.
  • Wipe the peak and any external plastic components with a damp cloth only — do not use abrasive pads or scouring materials.
  • If the interior liner and cheek pads are removable, hand-wash them in cool water with mild detergent and allow them to air-dry completely before refitting; do not machine-wash or tumble-dry.
  • Inspect the chin strap, buckle, and retention system before every ride to confirm they are secure, undamaged, and fastening correctly.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, exhaust fumes, and paint solvents, all of which can degrade the shell, foam, and retention system over time.
  • Never modify, drill, paint over, or apply adhesive stickers to the shell, as doing so can compromise structural integrity and void any applicable certification.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact — even where no visible damage is present — as the internal EPS liner may have been compromised.
  • Observe the manufacturer's recommended service life; helmets should generally be replaced every 3–5 years from the date of first use, regardless of visible condition, as materials degrade with age and UV exposure.
