- Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based cleaners, solvents, or abrasive materials that can damage the shell finish and visor coatings.
- Clean the visor with warm water and a clean microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor, as fine debris will scratch the surface.
- Remove the interior lining and cheek pads for periodic hand-washing in cool water with mild detergent; allow to dry completely before reinserting.
- Inspect the shell, EPS liner and retention system regularly for cracks, deformation or signs of wear.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact — EPS liner damage may not be visible externally but its protective capacity will be compromised.
- Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuels, and cleaning chemicals; if a helmet bag is supplied, use it to prevent visor scratching during storage.
- Do not apply stickers, paints or aftermarket coatings to the shell without confirming compatibility, as some adhesives and solvents can degrade polycarbonate or ABS materials.
- As a general industry guideline, consider replacing the helmet every five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if the shell, liner or retention system shows deterioration.
