- Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the polycarbonate.
- Clean the visor with a soft cloth and warm soapy water only — never wipe a dry visor as this causes micro-scratches.
- Remove and hand-wash the inner liner (if removable) with mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before refitting.
- Store the helmet in a helmet bag or on a flat surface away from direct sunlight, fuels, and extreme heat, which degrade shell integrity over time.
- Do not hang the helmet by the chin strap for long periods as this can stress the strap attachment points.
- Replace the helmet after any impact, even if no visible damage is present — internal foam may be compressed without showing external signs.
- As a general industry guideline, consider replacing the helmet after 5 years of use, or sooner if the liner, padding, or retention system shows wear.
- Ensure the retention system (chin strap) is correctly fastened and adjusted before every ride.
