- Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners, which can degrade the shell finish and graphics.
- Remove and hand-wash the interior liner (if the liner is removable) in lukewarm water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry completely before reinserting.
- Clean the visor with warm water and a soft cloth; never wipe a dry visor, as this scratches the surface.
- Inspect the visor mechanism and seals periodically; replace the visor if it shows significant scratching, crazing or a compromised seal.
- Do not store the helmet in direct sunlight or in a hot vehicle interior for extended periods, as UV exposure and heat accelerate degradation of EPS foam and shell materials.
- Store the helmet in its bag or on a flat surface away from fuel, oils and cleaning solvents.
- Replace the helmet after any impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — EPS liner damage is internal and not always visible.
- Follow the manufacturer's recommended replacement interval; as a general guideline the industry advises replacement after five years of use or sooner if the helmet shows wear.
