Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the polycarbonate shell or graphic finish.
Clean the visor with a soft microfibre cloth and warm water only; never wipe a dry visor as doing so causes fine scratches that reduce optical clarity.
Remove the interior comfort lining and cheek pads (where the design allows) and hand-wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent; air-dry completely before reinserting — do not tumble dry.
Inspect the chin-strap hardware before each ride and replace the strap if fraying, cracking or buckle damage is detected.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and household chemicals, all of which can degrade the EPS liner and shell over time.
Replace the helmet following any significant impact, even if no visible damage is present — polystyrene EPS liner foam does not recover its energy-absorbing properties after a hard strike.
Do not apply adhesive stickers, paint, or chemical treatments to the shell without confirming they are free of solvents that attack polycarbonate.
