Wipe the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water; never use petrol-based solvents, thinners or abrasive cleaners as these can degrade the shell and graphics.
Clean the visor with warm water and a soft cloth — avoid dry wiping, which can scratch the lens surface.
Remove the interior comfort liner if removable and hand-wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
Store the helmet in a fabric bag or helmet case, away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and extreme heat, all of which accelerate foam and liner degradation.
Inspect the chin-strap webbing and retention buckle before each ride; replace if frayed, cracked or no longer fastening securely.
Replace the helmet immediately following any impact — internal EPS foam does not visibly deform but its protective capacity is expended after a significant strike.
Check the visor pivot mechanism periodically; a loose or stiff pivot affects secure closure and should be attended to promptly.
Avoid applying adhesive stickers or aerosol products (insect repellent, fuel) directly to the shell unless confirmed safe by the manufacturer, as these can chemically attack the outer surface.
