- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth and mild soap and water; avoid petroleum-based cleaners, solvents or abrasive pads as these can degrade the shell and finish.
- Clean the visor with a dedicated visor cleaner or warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as grit will scratch it.
- If the inner liner is removable, hand-wash it in cool water with a mild detergent and allow it to air-dry fully before reinserting.
- Store the helmet in its bag (if supplied) in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and extreme heat, all of which degrade EPS foam and shell materials over time.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact — internal EPS foam damage is invisible to the naked eye but the helmet's protective capacity is compromised.
- As a general industry guideline, replace your helmet every five years from the manufacture date regardless of visible condition, as materials age and degrade with use and UV exposure.
- Do not paint, drill, modify or apply adhesive stickers to the shell, as this can compromise structural integrity.
- Ensure the chin strap is correctly fastened and the helmet fits snugly with no excessive movement before every ride.
