  • Clean the shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the shell finish.
  • Clean the visor with a damp microfibre cloth; never wipe dry as dust particles can scratch the lens surface.
  • Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent, reshape and air-dry fully before reinstalling.
  • To change the visor, use the RapidFire II lever on each side — no tools required; ensure the visor clicks firmly locked before riding.
  • When fitting a Pinlock insert, align it with the two pins on the inner visor face and press until it seats flush; replace the insert if fogging performance degrades.
  • Store the helmet in its bag away from direct sunlight, fuel, paint fumes and high heat, all of which accelerate shell and liner degradation.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — internal EPS foam does not recover.
  • As a general guideline, assess the helmet for replacement after five years of use or sooner if the fit, shell or retention system shows signs of wear.
