  • Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive cleaners, or petrol, as these degrade the shell finish and may compromise structural integrity.
  • Clean the visor with warm water and a microfibre cloth; avoid dry cloths or paper towels that may introduce fine scratches.
  • Remove the interior liner and cheek pads for separate hand-washing with mild shampoo; allow to air dry completely before reinserting — do not use a tumble dryer or direct heat.
  • Inspect the helmet for cracks, delamination, or damage after any impact, even one that appears minor. Replace the helmet if any structural damage is found — EPS liner damage is often invisible externally.
  • Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, UV exposure, and fuel or solvent vapours, which can degrade both the shell and internal foam.
  • Do not apply paint, additional adhesive stickers, or aftermarket chemical treatments to the shell, as these may compromise the carbon fibre laminate.
  • Check the chin strap webbing and retention buckle regularly for wear, fraying, or corrosion; confirm the strap is correctly fastened and seated before every ride.
  • Replace the helmet at least every five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner following any impact, regardless of apparent external condition.
