Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; avoid petrol-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can damage the shell finish and graphics.
Clean the face shield separately using warm water and a soft microfibre cloth; do not wipe a dry visor as dust particles will scratch the surface.
Retract the internal sun visor fully when not in use to protect the lens from scratching inside the helmet.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads according to HJC's instructions and hand-wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent; allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
Inspect the face shield seal and pivot mechanism periodically; if the shield no longer closes flush or shows cracking, replace it before riding.
Replace the helmet immediately following any impact, even if no visible damage is present — the EPS liner is a single-use energy absorber.
Store the helmet in its bag or a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and petroleum products, which degrade EPS and shell materials over time.
