The HJC RPHA 12 is a premium full-face road helmet built for performance-oriented riders who want a lightweight, composite shell without sacrificing the everyday convenience of an integrated sun visor. It sits at the top of HJC's road helmet range and is suited to sport riding, commuting, and weekend touring alike.

The shell is constructed from HJC's PIM+ material — a multi-composite weave of carbon, aramid, and fibreglass — delivering a strong, light foundation certified to the current ECE 22.06 standard. The Enoth MC3H graphic presents the helmet in HJC's fluorescent green colourway, providing strong on-road conspicuity.

Inside, a fully removable and washable 3D mesh interior, multi-density EPS, and integrated speaker pockets make the RPHA 12 a practical daily lid as well as a capable performance helmet.

  • Clean the outer shell with warm water and a mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners as these degrade the shell finish and graphic lacquer.
  • Clean the visor with a soft, damp microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as grit will scratch the surface and compromise optical clarity.
  • Remove cheek pads and the crown liner by pressing the release tabs; hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent and allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
  • Do not machine-wash or tumble-dry interior components.
  • Check the RapidFire III shield pivot points periodically for accumulated road grit; clear with a soft brush and ensure the mechanism clicks firmly into position before riding.
  • Operate the inner sun visor slider only when fully settled at a stop or very low speed; confirm it is fully retracted when entering tunnels, underpasses, or low-light conditions.
  • Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact — EPS liner damage is not visible externally but the helmet's protective capacity is compromised.
  • Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, exhaust heat, and sharp objects; UV and hydrocarbon exposure degrade both EPS and composite shell materials over time.
  • Do not paint, drill, apply adhesive vinyl, or attach accessories to the shell; these actions can compromise structural integrity and void any applicable warranty.
  • As a general industry guideline, helmet replacement every five years from the date of manufacture is recommended regardless of apparent condition, as EPS and shell materials age even with normal use.
