Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water; never use petroleum-based solvents, petrol, paint thinner or abrasive cleaners as these will damage the shell and finish.
Clean the visor by soaking it briefly in warm water before wiping — do not dry-wipe a dirty visor as this will scratch the anti-scratch coating.
If fitted, remove the Pinlock insert before cleaning the visor and refit it carefully to avoid trapping moisture or debris.
Remove interior cheek pads and crown liner and hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
Inspect the shell, visor mechanism and retention system regularly for cracks, chips or wear, and remove the helmet from service if damage is found.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is present — the shell may be structurally compromised.
Store the helmet in its bag (if supplied) in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical fumes, which degrade EPS liners and shell resins over time.
Do not hang the helmet by the chinstrap or on a mirror stalk for extended periods as this can deform the retention system and interior padding.
