The HJC i70 Alligon MC-7SF is a full-face street helmet aimed at everyday commuters and weekend road riders who want practical features without unnecessary complexity. Its polycarbonate composite shell keeps weight down while providing a solid foundation for all-day wear.

- Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; never use petrol-based solvents, abrasive cleaners or polishing compounds, which can degrade the polycarbonate shell and graphic film.
- Clean the visor by first allowing bugs and road grime to soften under a wet cloth before wiping — dry-wiping abrasive debris will scratch the anti-scratch coating.
- Remove the cheek pads and interior liner for machine washing in cold water on a gentle cycle; air dry only — do not tumble dry or place near a direct heat source.
- Operate the integrated sun shield slider with clean hands; if the mechanism feels stiff, a small amount of dry silicone lubricant applied to the guide track will restore smooth operation without attracting dust.
- Inspect the Pinlock EVO lens periodically for moisture ingress or edge fogging; reseat it by pressing firmly around the perimeter pins.
- Store the helmet in a breathable helmet bag away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and temperature extremes — all of these degrade EPS foam liner integrity over time.
- Replace the helmet after any impact, even where no visible damage is present; EPS liner compression is permanent and protection is not restored.
- Check the manufacture date label on the interior and plan replacement at five years from that date regardless of outward condition, in line with standard industry guidance on material ageing.
