Clean the shell exterior with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents, harsh detergents or abrasive cloths, which can degrade the shell and finish.
Remove and hand-wash the interior comfort liner in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent; allow to air-dry fully before reinserting.
Clean the drop-down sun visor and outer face shield with a clean microfibre cloth dampened with water; never wipe a dry visor, as dust particles scratch the surface.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, petrol fumes and chemical vapours, which degrade EPS foam and shell integrity over time.
Do not store or transport the helmet resting on its visor; use a helmet bag or the original box to prevent scratching.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — EPS liner deformation is not always apparent.
Check the chin strap buckle and retention system regularly for wear, corrosion or looseness before each ride.
Replace the helmet at a minimum every five years from date of manufacture regardless of visible condition, in line with general industry guidance on material ageing.
