The Akrapovič Racing Line is the full replacement exhaust system for the Yamaha YZF-R7, built for riders chasing lap times rather than compliance. Stainless steel headers and link pipe feed a titanium-sleeved muffler that exits on the right-hand side, while the resonator sits under the body where the lower fairings hide it, so the bike keeps its factory silhouette with a noticeably sharper stance.

The whole system tips the scales at 4.62 kg against 7.59 kg for the stock unit, and Akrapovič's own dyno testing shows gains through the midrange and top end. A heatshield styled after the systems fitted to the R6 and R1 finishes the look, and a removable noise insert is supplied to help meet circuit noise limits.

This system has no catalytic converter and does not meet emission compliance requirements for street or highway use. It is intended for racetrack or closed-course use only.

  • Complete replacement system for the Yamaha YZF-R7 (2021-2025), part number S-Y7R12-APT
  • Titanium outer sleeve and end cap on the muffler with stainless steel headers and link pipe
  • 4.62 kg complete - 3.0 kg (39.1%) lighter than the standard stock system
  • Akrapovič dyno testing shows +4.3 kW (5.9 hp) at 9,700 rpm over stock
  • Peak output of 54.3 kW at 9,200 rpm versus 51.8 kW at 8,600 rpm stock
  • Adds up to +2.9 Nm at 5,500 rpm, with peak torque of 66.3 Nm at 6,400 rpm
  • No catalytic converter - developed for racetrack and closed-course use only
  • Removable noise insert supplied to suit circuit sound limits
  • Resonator mounted under the body and concealed by the lower fairings, with right-side muffler exit
  • Heatshield styling drawn from the Yamaha YZF-R6 and YZF-R1 systems

  • Fit only when the engine and exhaust are completely cold; allow roughly 60 minutes for the installation.
  • Handle titanium and stainless components with clean gloves and wipe off any fingerprints or oil before the first heat cycle, as contaminants can mark the surface permanently once heated.
  • Re-check all clamps, springs and fasteners after the first heat cycle, then at regular intervals and before each track day.
  • Fit or remove the supplied noise insert to suit the sound limit at your circuit, and confirm its retaining fastener is secure before every session.
  • Clean when cold using warm water, a mild detergent and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive pads and acidic or wheel-cleaning chemicals on the titanium sleeve and end cap.
  • Heat-induced colour change on the headers and around welds is normal for titanium and stainless steel, not a fault.
  • Avoid aiming a high-pressure washer into the muffler outlet, and run the engine up to temperature after washing so any trapped moisture evaporates.
  • Keep the heatshield fitted at all times to protect bodywork and the rider from exhaust heat.
  • Because there is no catalytic converter, use the system on racetracks or closed courses only; retain the original exhaust for road registration and resale.
  • Inspect the muffler and headers for dents, cracks or damaged mounts after any crash or track incident before running the bike again.
