The X-Tech Combination Helmet Lock and T-Bar is a compact security accessory for securing a motorcycle helmet to your bike when you park up. The T-bar passes through the helmet's D-ring or chin strap and locks closed, so your helmet stays with the bike rather than being carried around or left loose.

It uses a combination lock, so there is no key to carry, lose or leave in a jacket pocket. It suits commuters and everyday riders who want a simple, low-cost deterrent that packs away under a seat or in a tank bag.

Note: a helmet lock is a deterrent and is not a substitute for secure storage or comprehensive insurance.

  • Combination lock — no keys to carry or lose
  • T-bar design threads through the helmet chin strap or D-rings
  • Secures a helmet to the motorcycle while parked
  • Compact enough to stow under the seat or in a tank bag

  • Set your own combination before first use and record it somewhere separate from the bike.
  • Thread the T-bar through the helmet's chin strap or D-rings, then secure it to a fixed point on the motorcycle such as a frame loop or helmet hook.
  • Check the lock is fully closed and the dials are scrambled before walking away — leaving the dials on the set combination defeats the lock.
  • Rinse off road salt, grit and dirt with fresh water after wet or coastal rides, then dry thoroughly.
  • Apply a light spray of dry lubricant or corrosion inhibitor to the moving parts periodically; avoid heavy greases that trap grit.
  • Do not let the lock or T-bar rest against paintwork, screens or exhaust components while riding — stow it under the seat or in a bag.
  • Inspect the shackle, dials and body for corrosion, seizing or damage before each use and replace the lock if it becomes stiff or unreliable.
  • Store in a dry place when not in use to limit moisture ingress into the mechanism.
