- Verify your motorcycle runs a 6-volt electrical system before fitting — do not connect to a 12V system.
- Mount the horn securely to a solid bracket or frame point to minimise vibration; loose mounting can cause premature failure.
- Connect positive and negative terminals correctly as marked; reversed polarity may damage the horn.
- Periodically check the terminal connections for corrosion and clean with a dry cloth or fine emery paper if needed.
- Test horn operation after fitting and at each service interval to confirm correct function.
- Avoid directing high-pressure water (e.g. from a pressure washer) at the horn diaphragm opening during cleaning.
- If the horn tone becomes weak or stops sounding, check the electrical connection and fuse in the circuit before replacing the unit.
