  • Confirm the kit suits your exact model and year against the KTM parts catalogue before starting work.
  • Allow the engine to cool completely before draining the cooling system, and drain coolant into a sealed container for correct disposal.
  • Work on a clean bench and lay out the kit contents against the old parts to check everything is accounted for before assembly.
  • Inspect the water pump shaft and impeller for play, scoring or corrosion while the pump is apart, and replace any worn components not covered by this kit.
  • Do not reuse old gaskets or seals; fit the new items supplied so the sealing faces mate correctly.
  • Clean all sealing surfaces of old gasket material before assembly, taking care not to scratch the alloy.
