- Always check tyre pressure when cold (before riding); refer to your motorcycle manufacturer's recommended pressure for a 150/70B18 rear tyre — do not rely on visual inspection alone.
- Bed in new tyres gradually over the first 100–200 km: avoid full lean angles, hard braking and aggressive acceleration until the mould-release compound has worn off the tread surface.
- Inspect the tread depth before each ride; replace the tyre when tread wear indicators are reached — do not ride on a worn-out tyre.
- Inspect sidewalls before each ride for cuts, cracks, bulges or embedded objects; replace immediately if any structural damage is found.
- Do not exceed the rated load index of 70 (335 kg) or speed symbol of Q (160 km/h).
- Have the tyre mounted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre fitting centre using appropriate equipment; incorrect fitment can cause handling issues or sudden deflation.
- Keep the tyre clear of oils, fuels, brake fluid and solvents, which degrade rubber compounds.
- If storing the tyre unmounted, stand it vertically or lay it flat in a cool, dark, dry location away from ozone sources (motors, fluorescent lights), direct sunlight and heat.
