  • Fit using the original fender mounting points and hardware; do not overtighten fasteners, as this can crack the plastic.
  • Route and secure the tail light wiring clear of the rear wheel, chain and exhaust, and use the existing loom clips or cable ties.
  • Check the light operates before riding, and re-check wiring connections after the first ride and after any crash or hard landing.
  • Wash with warm water and a mild detergent using a soft sponge or cloth; avoid solvents, petrol and abrasive pads, which will haze the plastic.
  • Keep high-pressure washers away from the light unit and wiring connectors, and dry connectors thoroughly after washing.
  • Inspect the fender periodically for stress cracks around the mounting holes, particularly after off-road use.
  • Store the bike out of prolonged direct sunlight where practical, as UV exposure fades coloured plastics over time.
  • Do not attempt to heat-straighten or reshape the fender near the light unit.
