TWIN AIR POWERFLOW KIT - YAMAHA YZ250F 2024 YZ450F 2023/2024

The Twin Air Powerflow Kit replaces the standard air filter cage with an open-design Powerflow cage and pairs it with Twin Air's pre-oiled dual-stage foam filters. It is a model-specific kit made for the Yamaha YZ250F 2024 and YZ450F 2023-2024.

It suits motocross and off-road riders who want a straightforward airbox upgrade and a simple maintenance routine: run one filter while the other is being cleaned and re-oiled, then swap them over. The filters arrive pre-oiled, so the kit can be fitted without any preparation.

Please confirm your model year before ordering, as filter cage fitment is model-specific.

  • Complete Powerflow kit: open-design filter cage plus Twin Air pre-oiled air filters
  • Open cage design supports increased airflow compared with a standard closed cage
  • Twin Air dual-stage foam filters — coarse outer layer with a fine inner layer
  • Filters supplied pre-oiled and ready to fit
  • Two filters allow one to be cleaned and re-oiled while the other stays in use
  • Direct replacement for the standard airbox cage — no modification required
  • Model-specific fitment for Yamaha YZ250F 2024 and YZ450F 2023-2024
  • Powerflow air filter cage

  • Fit the Powerflow cage in place of the standard airbox cage, then seat the filter fully so the sealing rim contacts the airbox flange evenly all the way around.
  • Apply a thin, even layer of filter grease to the filter's sealing rim before fitting to help stop dirt bypassing the filter.
  • Check and service the filter after every ride in dusty or sandy conditions, and more often in extreme conditions.
  • Clean the filter in a dedicated foam filter cleaner, then rinse in clean water — never use petrol, kerosene or aggressive solvents, which break down the foam and glue.
  • Squeeze the filter gently to remove water; do not wring, twist or stretch it.
  • Allow the filter to dry completely before re-oiling — oiling a damp filter traps moisture in the foam.
  • Re-oil with a foam air filter oil, working it evenly through the foam until the whole filter is uniformly coloured, then squeeze out any excess.
  • Rotate the two supplied filters so one is always clean, dry and oiled while the other is in service.
  • Inspect the foam for tears, hardening or separation at the glued seam, and inspect the cage for cracks or distortion — replace either if damaged.
  • Store spare filters in a sealed bag in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
  • After washing the bike, check that no water has entered the airbox and that the filter is still correctly seated before starting the engine.
