The Shad Top Master Y0XM37ST is a vehicle-specific mounting plate engineered to fit Shad top cases to the Yamaha XMAX 125, 300 and 400 produced between 2017 and 2022. It attaches to the scooter's existing subframe anchor points, providing a clean and secure foundation for a Shad top case without the need for drilling or permanent modification.
As part of Shad's Top Master system, the plate incorporates a quick-release locking mechanism, allowing the top case to be removed and reattached without tools while the base plate remains neatly in place on the scooter. It is an ideal solution for XMAX riders who want practical luggage capacity that can be easily detached when not required.

- Before first ride, verify all mounting bolts are fully torqued and the base plate is seated flush against the subframe.
- Inspect mounting bolt tightness regularly, particularly after the first few hundred kilometres, as new hardware can settle.
- Test the quick-release locking mechanism before each ride to confirm the top case is securely latched.
- When removing the top case, ensure the release lever is fully actuated before lifting to avoid stressing the latch.
- Clean the base plate and locking mechanism with a damp cloth; avoid directing high-pressure water jets at the lock housing.
- Apply a light spray lubricant to the locking mechanism periodically to maintain smooth operation, especially after washing or prolonged wet-weather riding.
- Check the plate for cracks, corrosion or deformation at regular service intervals and replace if any damage is found.
- Store the scooter indoors or use a cover during extended periods of non-use to protect the exposed hardware from corrosion.
