The TCX Comp Kid is a purpose-built motocross boot for young off-road riders, using the same construction ideas found in TCX's adult MX range in a smaller, lighter package. A microfibre upper is paired with the brand's Air Tech breathable lining, so feet stay cooler through long motos and practice days.
Protection comes from polyurethane reinforcements across the shin, ankle and toe, while three adjustable polyurethane buckles let you dial in a secure fit over a range of pants and socks. The wear-resistant rubber sole is shaped for grip on the footpegs, and the anatomical insole lifts out for cleaning or to swap in an alternative footbed.
Suited to junior MX, dirt bike trail riding and pit bike use where a proper certified off-road boot is required. This listing is the black colourway.

- Knock off loose dirt and rinse mud away with cool water and a soft brush after riding; avoid aiming a pressure washer at the buckles, seams or sole edges.
- Clean the microfibre upper with a damp cloth and mild soap only — no solvents, petrol, degreasers or harsh chemicals.
- Air-dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight, heaters and clothes dryers; forced heat can distort the polyurethane parts and shrink the upper.
- Lift out the anatomical insole after wet or hot rides so the inside of the boot can dry properly, then refit once completely dry.
- Check the three buckles before every ride: they should close firmly with the boot snug but not pinching, and a damaged or missing buckle should be attended to before riding again.
- Inspect the shin plate, ankle guard and toe reinforcement for cracks or heavy scuffing, and keep an eye on sole wear — a rounded-off sole loses grip on the footpegs.
- Store upright in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight; never pack the boots away damp or squashed under other gear.
- Recheck the fit each season as the rider grows — boots that are too large or too tight will not protect properly — and retire any boot that has taken a heavy impact, even if the damage isn't obvious.
