Inflate only to the pressure moulded on the tyre sidewall or listed in the STACYC owner's manual — never exceed it.
Check pressure before each ride; small-volume tyres lose air noticeably, and running soft increases the risk of pinch flats and of the tyre rolling on the rim.
When fitting, deflate the tube completely first and work the bead on by hand where you can; metal levers can nick the tube or damage the bead.
Inflate part-way and check the bead line sits evenly and concentric right around both sides before bringing the tyre up to full pressure.
Make sure the tube isn't trapped under the bead, and that any rotation-direction arrow on the sidewall points forward.
Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush. Avoid solvents, degreasers and tyre-shine dressings — they can degrade the rubber and reduce grip.
Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded stones, sidewall damage and uneven wear; replace the tyre once the tread is worn down or any casing is showing.
Refit the wheel following the STACYC manual and tighten the axle hardware to the manufacturer's specified torque.
Store spare tyres loosely coiled or hanging in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and away from electric motors and battery chargers, as ozone degrades rubber.
