- Wash and dry the bike thoroughly before fitting, then wipe the panels with isopropyl alcohol so no wax, polish or grease remains.
- Remove any old graphics first; warming them gently with a hairdryer softens the adhesive and helps lift them cleanly.
- Apply in a warm, sheltered spot — cold surfaces and windy, dusty conditions make the adhesive grab poorly and trap debris.
- Peel the backing progressively rather than all at once, laying each graphic from the centre outwards and smoothing air bubbles towards the edges with a soft cloth or squeegee.
- Press firmly around edges and curves once positioned, and leave the bike unwashed for at least 24 hours so the adhesive can cure.
- Clean with mild soapy water and a soft cloth; avoid solvents, petrol-based cleaners and abrasive pads, which will haze or lift the graphics.
- Do not aim a high-pressure washer at the edges of the graphics — it will drive water under the adhesive and cause peeling.
- Check edges periodically after rides and press down any lifted corners before dirt gets underneath.
- Store the bike out of prolonged direct sunlight where practical to slow fading of the printed colours.
