The SMK Gullwing GL200 is a flip-up modular helmet built for tourers, adventure riders and everyday commuters who want one lid that does both jobs. The chin bar lifts clear for fuel stops, conversations and hot traffic, then locks down for highway work — and because the Gullwing carries double P/J homologation, it is approved for riding in either position.

A thermoplastic outer shell, an extra-wide flat visor and vents at the top and mouth keep the helmet comfortable across long days and changeable weather. The visor is Pinlock 70 ready for fog-free vision in the cold and wet, while a drop-down internal sun visor handles glare without a second visor swap. Wind stops help cut draughts and noise at speed.

Measure the circumference of your head about 2 cm above the eyebrows and compare it against the SMK size chart before ordering; the helmet should sit snugly with no pressure points and should not roll forward when the strap is fastened.
Operate the chin bar with both hands where possible, and always make sure it clicks fully home into the closed position before riding — because the Gullwing is P/J approved, it may also be ridden in the raised position.
Clean the shell, visor and sun visor with lukewarm water and a mild soap using a soft cloth or sponge; never use petrol, thinners, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners or abrasive products, as these can attack the thermoplastic shell and visor coatings.
Soften dried insects by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a few minutes rather than scrubbing, which scratches the surface.
If you fit a Pinlock 70 insert (sold separately), handle it by the edges only and clean it with a damp cloth and water — the anti-fog surface is easily damaged by cleaning chemicals and dry wiping.
Allow the interior to air dry naturally after wet rides or hot days; do not use a hair dryer, heater or direct sunlight to speed it up, and never leave the helmet on a hot exhaust, mirror or seat.
Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and fuel or solvent fumes.
Inspect the visor, sun visor mechanism, chin bar latch and chin strap regularly, and replace a visor that has become badly scratched — scratches scatter light badly at night.
Replace the helmet after any impact or significant drop, even if there is no visible damage, and do not paint it, apply stickers with strong adhesives, or drill it for accessories.
