The Shot Airlight Kid Elbow Guards are lightweight youth elbow protectors built for young riders on the motocross track, on trails and in the backyard. A ventilated mesh sleeve holds a preformed soft shell over the elbow, so the guard follows the arm rather than fighting it.
They suit junior off-road and MX riders who need certified protection that stays put without the bulk of full arm armour. The protectors lift out for washing, and hook-and-loop straps let you fine-tune the fit as young arms change shape through a season.

- Position each guard so the preformed shell sits directly over the point of the elbow, then set the hook-and-loop straps snug enough to stop rotation without restricting circulation.
- Re-check strap tension after the first few minutes of riding and again after a session, as mesh sleeves relax slightly once warm.
- Remove the protectors from the mesh sleeves before washing, and refit them the same way around afterwards.
- Hand wash the sleeves in cool water with a mild detergent; avoid bleach, solvents, fuel and fabric softeners, which can degrade mesh and elastic.
- Wipe the protectors with a damp cloth and mild soap, then rinse and dry before reinserting.
- Air dry away from direct sunlight, heaters and tumble dryers, and do not iron the shells.
- Clear mud and grit from the hook-and-loop straps regularly with a stiff brush so they keep holding, and close the straps during washing and storage to stop them picking up lint.
- Inspect the shells and stitching before each ride, and replace the guards if the shell is cracked, deformed or has taken a heavy impact.
- Store flat or lightly folded in a cool, dry place rather than compressed under gear, so the preformed shape is retained.
- Re-check fit as the rider grows; guards that slide out of position over the elbow no longer protect it.
