Clean the shell exterior with mild soap and lukewarm water using a soft cloth; never use solvents, petrol, or petroleum-based cleaners, which degrade the shell resin and graphics.
Clean the CNS-1 visor with Shoei visor cleaner or a mild soapy solution and a clean microfibre cloth; always wet the surface first — wiping a dry visor causes scratches.
Clean the Pinlock 120 insert with mild soap and warm water only; alcohol-based products will damage the silicone seal and anti-fog coating.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads and hand-wash in cool water with a gentle, non-biological detergent; allow all components to air-dry completely before reinstalling.
Do not store the helmet in direct sunlight or near heat sources — prolonged UV and heat exposure degrades EPS foam and composite shell resins.
Store in the supplied helmet bag in a cool, dry location when not in use to protect the shell finish and visor from scratches.
Inspect the helmet after any impact, even if external damage is not visible; internal EPS damage is not detectable by eye, and the helmet should be replaced following any significant blow.
As a general guideline, retire the helmet after five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if the retention system, shell, or liner show visible wear or deterioration.
