The Shoei X-SPR Pro is Shoei's flagship full-face helmet, developed in close collaboration with the brand's racing programme and engineered for riders who demand the highest level of protection, aerodynamic stability and comfort. Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before cleaning; hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild, non-detergent soap, rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before refitting.
Clean the outer shell and vent covers with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; never use petroleum-based solvents, paint thinners or abrasive compounds, as these can degrade the shell, clear coat and graphics.
To clean the CWR-F2 PN visor, remove it from the helmet and soak briefly in warm water to loosen grit before wiping with a soft cloth — never wipe a dry visor, as surface particles will scratch the lens.
Clean the Pinlock 120 Max Vision insert with a soft, damp cloth only; avoid paper towels, abrasive cloths and any chemical cleaners that can damage the anti-fog coating.
Lubricate the visor pivot mechanism occasionally with a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to maintain smooth operation and ensure the visor seals correctly at speed.
Store the helmet in its protective bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, exhaust fumes and chemical cleaners, all of which degrade foam liners, shell laminates and retention webbing over time.
Inspect the shell, retention system and visor mechanism before each ride; retire and replace the helmet immediately following any impact — internal structural damage is not visible to the naked eye.
Replace the helmet after a maximum of five years from first use regardless of outward condition, in line with Shoei's published guidance and broader industry safety recommendations, as shell and foam materials degrade with age, UV exposure and perspiration.
