Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; never use petrol-based solvents, paint thinners, or abrasive cleaners as these will damage the shell and graphic.
Clean the visor with lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth; avoid dry-wiping, which can scratch the surface.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent and allow to air dry completely before refitting.
Inspect the CWR-F2 visor regularly for scratches or crazing that could impair vision; replace when clarity is compromised.
Check that the Pinlock EVO lens is seated correctly and free of moisture ingress before each ride; wipe the inner surface gently if fogging occurs at rest.
After any impact — even a drop from handlebar height — have the helmet inspected or replace it; composite shells can sustain invisible structural damage.
Do not apply aftermarket stickers, paints, or cleaning products not approved by Shoei, as these can chemically degrade the shell or void certification.
Store the helmet in its bag or a ventilated space away from direct sunlight, fuel vapour, and extreme heat; UV exposure degrades both the outer shell and interior foam over time.
Periodically check that the EQRS chin strap buckle releases cleanly and re-engages positively; replace the strap if the mechanism feels stiff or uncertain.
