Shoei helmets carry a 5-year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, impact damage, or damage resulting from improper use or care.

Clean the outer shell with lukewarm water and a mild, pH-neutral soap; rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a soft cloth — never use petrol, solvents, acetone, or abrasive cleaners on any part of the helmet.
Clean the CNS-1 face shield with lukewarm water and a soft, clean cloth; avoid dry-wiping a dirty shield, as grit will cause fine scratches that impair vision.
Remove the interior cheek pads and comfort liner and hand-wash them periodically with mild soap in cool water; allow all components to air-dry completely before reassembling.
Familiarise yourself and your emergency contacts with the Emergency Quick Release (EQR) cheek pad system, which allows first responders to remove the helmet with minimal neck movement.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact even if no external damage is visible — compressed EPS liner cannot be assessed visually.
Replace the face shield if it becomes scratched, fogged permanently, or discoloured; a compromised shield reduces vision and safety.
If using the Pinlock EVO insert, keep the inner pins clean and adjust the insert tension if condensation appears around the edges.
Store the helmet in its carry bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes.
Shoei recommends retiring the helmet five years from the date of first use regardless of apparent condition, as materials — including the EPS liner — degrade over time.
