Clean the helmet shell using a soft damp cloth with mild soap and lukewarm water; never use petrol, solvents, acetone, or abrasive compounds as these degrade both the composite shell and the matte finish.
Clean the CNS-10 visor by allowing it to soak briefly in lukewarm water to loosen any grit, then wipe gently with a soft, lint-free cloth — never wipe a dry visor, as doing so will cause fine scratches.
Fit the Pinlock EVO MaxVision lens onto the two mounting pins on the inside face of the visor; press evenly until both pins clip and the lens sits flush, creating an unbroken seal around the perimeter to prevent fogging.
Remove the cheek pads and crown liner by using the pull tabs; hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air-dry completely before refitting — do not tumble-dry or use direct heat.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no external damage is visible; EPS liner deformation is internal and cannot be reliably assessed by sight.
Inspect the chin strap and retention buckle periodically for fraying, cracking or corrosion; if any wear is found, have the retention system replaced by an authorised Shoei dealer before continued use.
Store the helmet in its carry bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapour, chemicals, and extremes of temperature; UV exposure and hydrocarbon contact degrade both the resin and the EPS over time.
Avoid applying adhesives, paint, or aftermarket stickers to the shell without confirming compatibility with Shoei — many adhesives chemically attack fibre-reinforced composites.
