Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water; rinse thoroughly and allow to dry naturally — do not use petroleum-based solvents, petrol, paint thinners, or abrasive cleaners on any part of the helmet.
Clean the visor with warm water and a soft cloth; avoid dry wiping, which can cause fine surface scratches that impair optical clarity.
Remove the cheek pads and interior liner for hand washing in cool water with a mild detergent; allow all components to dry completely before reinserting.
Clean the inner surface of the Pinlock EVO lens only with a soft, damp cloth; follow Shoei's fitment instructions when installing or removing the Pinlock to avoid distorting the seal.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no visible damage is apparent — the EPS liner absorbs energy in a single event and its protective capacity cannot be restored.
Do not paint, drill, or otherwise modify the shell; doing so compromises structural integrity and voids the helmet's certification.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, UV radiation, and chemical fumes; a helmet bag is recommended to prevent shell and visor scratching during storage and transport.
Replace the CNS-1 visor if it becomes heavily scratched or discoloured, as reduced optical clarity is a safety concern — do not ride with a visibly impaired visor.
