The Shoei Neotec II in the Respect TC-5 graphic is a premium modular helmet designed for touring and long-distance riders who want the convenience of a flip-up chin bar without compromising on fit, finish or protection. Built around Shoei's AIM multi-composite fibre shell, the Neotec II combines aerodynamic refinement with a practical integrated retractable inner sun visor, a fully removable and washable interior, and purpose-built accommodation for the Sena SRL2 communication system — making it a genuinely functional long-haul companion.

- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive cleaners, or fuel, which can damage the shell finish and graphic.
- Clean the visor by first wetting it with warm water, then wiping gently with a soft microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor, as this scratches the optical surface.
- Install the Pinlock EVO lens 120 by aligning it with the visor's pin posts and pressing firmly until each pin locks; check that the rubber seal seats evenly around the perimeter for full anti-fog performance.
- Remove the cheek pads and interior liner before washing; hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and air-dry completely before reinstalling — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Operate the inner sun visor using the left-side lever with a smooth motion; if the slider feels stiff, wipe the track with a dry cloth — do not force it or apply lubricants to the visor mechanism.
- Inspect the double D-ring strap and chin strap webbing regularly for wear, fraying or deformation; do not use the helmet if the retention system is damaged.
- Replace the helmet after any impact that may have loaded the EPS liner, even if no visible damage is apparent — EPS does not recover after a significant impact.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical products; these degrade the EPS liner, shell resin and comfort padding over time.
- Shoei advises replacing the helmet after five years from the date of first use, regardless of outward condition, as materials degrade with age and UV exposure.
