Clean the outer shell with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth; rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry naturally — never use solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners.
Clean the visor with a soft damp cloth; never wipe a dry visor as grit will scratch the lens surface.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads and hand-wash in warm water with a mild detergent; do not machine-wash or tumble-dry.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical exposure.
Inspect the EQR cheek pad release tabs regularly to confirm they remain unobstructed and functional.
Replace the helmet immediately following any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — internal EPS damage is not apparent to the eye.
As a general guideline, retire the helmet after approximately five years from first use, or sooner if the shell, liner, or retention system shows signs of deterioration.
