The Shoei Neotec 3 is Shoei's flagship modular touring helmet, combining a flip-up chin bar with the shell engineering and interior refinement that Shoei's premium full-face helmets are known for.   • Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth, mild soap and lukewarm water; avoid petroleum-based products, solvents or abrasive cleaners, which can degrade the shell finish and structural integrity.
  • Clean the visor with a dedicated visor cleaner or mild soap and water; never rub a dry visor — rinse first, then blot gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Clean the Pinlock EVO insert with clean water only and allow to air dry; do not use solvents or dry paper towels on the insert surface.
  • Remove cheek pads and interior lining for hand-washing in lukewarm water with mild detergent; allow to air dry completely before refitting — do not tumble dry or use direct heat.
  • Periodically check the chin bar pivot and latch mechanism for smooth operation; apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant if movement becomes stiff.
  • Inspect the shield seal and pivot points for wear; replace the shield if scratching or crazing impairs visibility.
  • Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, aerosols and chemical exposure — these can degrade EPS and shell materials without visible signs.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible; EPS liner damage is internal and cannot be assessed by eye.
  • Shoei recommends the helmet be retired after a period of regular use regardless of impact history, as materials age over time.
