The Shoei J-Cruise II is an open-face touring helmet built for riders who want the freedom of a jet-style design backed by Shoei's premium Japanese craftsmanship. Shoei helmets are covered by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, impact damage, unauthorised modifications, or damage caused by improper care.

Clean the outer shell with mild soap and lukewarm water using a soft cloth; never use petroleum-based solvents, acetone, abrasive cleaners, or fuel, as these degrade the shell material and finish.
Clean the visor by first soaking it briefly in warm water to loosen insects or road grime before wiping gently with a clean microfibre cloth — never dry-wipe a contaminated visor as this causes scratching.
Remove the interior lining and cheek pads using the release tabs; hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
Do not use a tumble dryer, hairdryer, or place the helmet near radiators or direct heat sources to accelerate drying.
Do not apply stickers, spray paint, or adhesives to the shell — these can chemically attack composite materials and void the warranty.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no visible damage is present; internal EPS liner damage is not externally apparent.
As a general guideline, retire the helmet no later than 5 years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if the liner is compressed, the shell shows cracking, or the retention system is worn.
Store in a helmet bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, petrol vapour, and cleaning chemicals when not in use.
Inspect the visor pivot mechanism and retention system periodically; replace the visor at the first sign of scratching that impairs vision.
