Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive soap; never use petroleum-based solvents, fuel, or harsh chemicals, as these degrade the shell and EPS liner.
Remove the cheek pads and interior liner and hand-wash with mild detergent in cool water; allow all components to air-dry completely before refitting — do not use a tumble dryer or direct heat.
Clean the inner sun visor with a clean, soft cloth dampened with water only; avoid abrasive cloths or cleaners that will scratch the lens and reduce optical clarity.
Check that the inner sun visor deploys and retracts smoothly before each ride; if movement becomes stiff, clean the visor channel with a dry cloth to remove accumulated dust.
Inspect the chin-strap retention system and buckle before each use for signs of wear, fraying or looseness.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — EPS foam absorbs impact energy through internal compression that is not apparent to the eye.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location, away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical fumes, all of which degrade helmet materials and reduce protection over time.
