The Shoei GT-Air II is a full-face sport-touring helmet designed for riders who want long-distance comfort without sacrificing technical performance. Built on Shoei's AIM multi-ply fibreglass shell and fitted with a retractable QSV-1 inner sun visor, it handles varying road conditions and light environments without requiring a visor swap.

The REMINISCE graphic in TC-5 gives the GT-Air II a distinctive appearance on an already well-regarded touring platform. With integrated speaker pockets and preparation for Shoei's SRL2 communication system, it suits riders who want connectivity built into the helmet rather than retrofitted around it.

  • AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix) multi-ply fibreglass shell for an optimised balance of strength and weight
  • QSV-1 retractable inner sun visor operable without removing hands from the bars
  • CWR-1 faceshield with UV protection and anti-scratch treatment

Shoei helmets carry a manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty claims must be directed to an authorised Shoei dealer. Warranty does not cover normal wear, damage from improper use, or helmets that have sustained impact. Contact your dealer or Shoei's Australian distributor for full terms and duration applicable to your purchase.
  • Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap solution; never use solvent-based cleaners, petrol, thinners, or abrasive compounds as these will damage the shell lacquer and graphic.
  • Clean the CWR-1 faceshield with lukewarm water only and a soft microfibre cloth — never wipe a dry visor as doing so causes micro-scratches that degrade optical clarity over time.
  • Install the Pinlock EVO lens following Shoei's fitting guide; periodically check that the lens pins are fully seated and the seal is even to maintain effective anti-fog performance.
  • Remove the interior liner and cheek pads and hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent; rinse thoroughly and allow to air-dry completely before reinserting — do not tumble dry or expose to direct heat.
  • Operate the QSV-1 inner sun visor using the left-side slider lever; do not force the mechanism if resistance is felt, as debris in the channel is the most common cause — clean the channel and retest.
  • When fitting a Shoei SRL2 or compatible communication system, route all cables through the designated liner channels to avoid pressure points against the EPS or interference with the visor operation.
  • After any significant impact — including a drop from handlebar height — retire the helmet immediately; EPS liner damage is not visible externally and the helmet will not provide the same level of protection in a subsequent impact.
  • Store in a helmet bag or breathable cover in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and solvents; these degrade the shell resin and EPS liner over time even without physical impact.
  • Replace the helmet no later than five years from the date of manufacture (marked on the interior label), or sooner if the liner, retention system, or shell shows signs of deterioration.
