Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water; never use petroleum-based solvents, thinners, fuel, or abrasive cleaners as these will degrade the shell, paint, and liner materials.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; machine wash on a gentle cycle inside a laundry bag, or hand-wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent — allow all interior components to air-dry completely before refitting.
Clean the face shield with warm water and a soft microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor, as grit will permanently scratch the coating.
Install the Pinlock EVO lens by locating the two mounting pins on the inner face shield and pressing the lens gently into place until it clicks; adjust the seal tension if fogging occurs.
To deploy the QSV-2 sun visor, slide the lever on the left of the helmet chin area downward; fully retract the visor before removing the helmet to avoid damaging the mechanism.
Inform first responders of the EQR system: the red pull tabs on each cheek pad allow the pads to be removed rapidly without disturbing the rider's head or neck.
Replace the helmet immediately after any impact, even where no visible damage is present — the EPS liner is a single-use energy absorber.
Store the helmet in its bag or a padded case away from direct sunlight, fuel, oil, and chemical fumes; prolonged UV and solvent exposure degrade the shell structure over time.
If using a Shoei Sena SRL3 Bluetooth unit (sold separately), install it according to the SRL3 fitment guide for the GT-Air 3 and keep the SRL3 firmware current via the Sena app.
Check ventilation ports periodically for insect debris or dust build-up and clear gently with compressed air or a soft brush.
