  • Clean the outer shell with mild soap and lukewarm water using a soft cloth; never use petroleum-based cleaners, solvents or strong detergents, which can degrade the shell finish and compromise structural integrity.
  • Clean the CNS-1 visor with lukewarm water and a microfibre cloth; avoid dry cloths or abrasive materials that may scratch the anti-scratch coating.
  • Remove cheek pads and interior lining and hand-wash in mild detergent; rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before reinstalling.
  • Install the Pinlock EVO lens by engaging it onto the two mounting pins on the inside of the visor; ensure the seal sits evenly around the full perimeter before riding.
  • Operate the QSV-2 sun visor via the side slider lever; keep the slider mechanism free of grit and apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant if the action becomes stiff — do not use petroleum-based lubricants.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no visible external damage exists — internal EPS deformation may not be apparent on inspection.
  • Shoei recommends replacing the helmet after five years from the date of manufacture, which is moulded on a label inside the helmet.
  • Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, solvents and sources of extreme heat.
  • Do not apply stickers, paint, adhesives or abrasive cleaning products to the shell, as these may compromise its structural performance.
