The Shoei EX-Zero is a full-face helmet built around a retro scrambler aesthetic, designed for riders who want the classic lines of vintage off-road and café racer styling alongside the fit and finish Shoei is known for. The XANADU graphic in TC-5 black delivers a bold, purposeful colourway suited to scramblers, adventure bikes, nakeds and streetfighters alike.

With a removable and washable interior liner, multi-density EPS construction and compatibility with Shoei's range of optional visors and peaks, the EX-Zero sits firmly in the premium end of retro-styled full-face helmets — a considered choice for riders who refuse to trade comfort or quality for style.

  • Clean the outer shell with a damp cloth and mild soap solution; avoid petroleum-based solvents, aerosol products, and abrasive materials that can degrade the shell finish and graphic.
  • Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; hand-wash in cold water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
  • Clean the face shield or flat screen with warm water and a soft microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as dust and grit will scratch the lens surface.
  • Inspect the shell and EPS liner after any impact — if the helmet has sustained a significant knock, retire and replace it regardless of whether visible damage is present, as EPS does not recover after compression.
  • Store the helmet in a breathable bag or on a dedicated stand in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and extreme heat, all of which degrade shell materials and foam over time.
  • Do not rest the helmet on a motorcycle mirror, tank or other hard surface where fuel, chain lube or cleaning chemicals can contact and damage the finish.
  • Check the retention system (chin strap, buckle, and D-ring or micro-ratchet closure) periodically for fraying, corrosion or loss of function; replace if compromised.
  • As a general guideline, consider replacing the helmet five years from date of manufacture, or sooner if the interior padding has noticeably compressed, the shell has been impacted, or the retention system shows significant wear.
