Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and lukewarm water; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or acetone as these can degrade the shell finish and structure.
Remove the interior lining and cheek pads for washing; hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air-dry fully before refitting.
Never use compressed air, high-pressure water, or abrasive cleaners on the shell or retention system.
Inspect the chin strap and buckle regularly for fraying, cracking, or any loss of function; replace if damaged.
The EX-Zero is designed to be paired with riding goggles — seat the goggle strap in the dedicated rear channel and confirm it is seated flat to prevent pressure points or lift at speed.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if external damage is not visible; the EPS liner is a single-use energy-management system.
