- Clean the outer shell using a mild soap solution and a soft, damp cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive pads, or spray cleaners, which can strip the matt finish.
- Wipe the interior padding with a lightly dampened cloth; do not submerge the helmet or use a high-pressure hose.
- Allow the helmet to air-dry fully in a shaded, well-ventilated area before storage — never use a heat source such as a clothes dryer or direct sunlight to speed drying.
- Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and heat sources, which degrade foam and shell materials over time.
- Use a padded helmet bag or case when transporting to prevent contact scratches to the matt surface.
- Inspect the chin strap, buckle, and retention webbing before each ride; retire the helmet if any component shows fraying, corrosion, or damage.
- Replace the helmet following any significant impact — even without visible external damage, the inner energy-absorbing foam may be compromised.
- As a general guideline, replace the helmet after five years of use from the date of manufacture, or earlier if the shell, liner, or fit has deteriorated.
