- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish.
- Clean the visor with warm water and a microfibre cloth to prevent scratching; never wipe a dry visor.
- Remove and hand-wash the interior liner according to the label instructions; allow to air dry fully before reinserting.
- Test the chin bar latch mechanism before each ride to confirm it locks securely in both the open and closed positions.
- Inspect the visor pivot mechanism and chin bar hinges periodically; if any part feels loose or stiff, have the helmet inspected by an authorised Scorpion dealer.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if external damage is not visible.
- Store the helmet in its bag or on a clean shelf away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and extreme heat, all of which degrade EPS foam and shell materials over time.
- Replace the helmet in line with the manufacturer's recommended service life guidance, typically five years from date of first use.
